Information You Submit
Search entries, such as a name, telephone number, or address, are sent to the outside provider that returns search results; this site's servers do not retain a copy of those entries. A message sent to us contains whatever details you choose to include, which we use to respond.
Information Collected During a Visit
The hosting service records routine technical logs, including IP address, browser, pages requested, and time of access. We review combined traffic information to maintain the site and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics and, when relevant, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use technical information to run the site, address errors, measure general traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual user profiles.
External Portals and Search Services
Links lead to Oregon government record systems, archives, library collections, and outside search providers. Any information you enter on those services is handled under their own privacy terms. Sponsored search results are also delivered by an independent provider.
Service Providers and Required Disclosures
Our hosting and technical vendors process server logs as part of providing the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
Connections to the site are encrypted, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. Because there are no user accounts, this site does not hold your account password or profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference site is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you think a minor has sent us information, contact us so we can remove it.
Your Privacy Rights in Oregon
When the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (ORS 646A.570–646A.589) applies to a business, consumers have rights that can include accessing, correcting, or deleting personal data, and opting out of certain data uses. The statute applies only to covered controllers and processors that meet its scope requirements; public records held by Oregon agencies are not controlled by this site. Since this site keeps little information, a request will generally involve checking our contact inbox and server logs for material we can remove. Write through the Contact page. Requests to change a state, county, or city record must go to that record's custodian.
Changes to This Policy
We will post revisions here. If you continue using the site after a revised policy appears, that continued use means you accept the new terms.
